Photoshop Essentials, March 24-25, 2007
Digital Stop, Berkeley, California
If you are just learning Photoshop, this course will teach you all the essentials of using Photoshop for photography. We begin with images in your camera and work through of creating a beautiful print-ready image. We discuss the tools to fixing common issues along with enhancing your photograph to the next level. Along the way, we introduce Photoshop without jargon in small understandable steps. This is a hands-on course so that you can try the steps during the workshop on your own images. Lectures use the fantastic book, Photoshop CS2 Studio Techniques, by Ben Willmore. After the workshop, you can continue your learning progress using this book.
This course is for photographers with beginner and even intermediate Photoshop skills using Photoshop CS2. If you do not have Photoshop CS2, you can download a free 30 day trial from http://www.adobe.com/. A portion of the lecture deals with digital raw files. Bring some of your own images for the second day to work on with the group.
Class handouts will be given to each participant. This course will be co-taught by Dorothy Gantenbein and Donna Cushman
